The Basement Collaboration

The Basement Collaboration Project started in March 2005 and is still in session. Jerry has mixed and produced 82 sessions, so far. In those sessions 1026 individual tracks were made. Later, in 2010 BCP will publish 4 collections. Including the trio, 36 people contributed their talent to this project. Scot and Kenny will always be part of the trio, but are no longer with us.

The Original Basement Collaboration Invition Scot Hapin, Kenny Wright, and myself (Jerry Farnsworth) have a recording project called The Basement Collaborations. The three of us have found that many of the music folks we have talked to are interested in playing, but have little time for a regular sessions, but like to streach their playing. Rotation is/was every 5 weeks unless one wants to be on the short list. Once initial compatibility is established thru a single session, the guest can use a substantial amount of the time to engage in their music and/or recording agenda with the support of guitar,bass, percussion and studio recording. Generally a rough mix of the session is available within days. At this point there is no charge because we enjoy this concept. Thecollaborations allow the hosts to play with and interesting variety of folks.
